Home computers?

We have SBC /dsl.

My wife and I have set up a pair of home computers.

We were having trouble both accessing the internet at the same time and sharing the printer.

We called SBC and Jesse came out and installed a new modem.

We can now both access the internet at the same time but not the printer.

As we used the new modem we discovered that we could not access some of our old web sites.

Some of the site we ca not access are Walgreen, Tradinpost, windows update,Caterpillar at work ect

you're tech guy "jesse" is a dumbass...you need a network setup or just a really really big hammer...you didn't really need those sites anyway....and really do you want your wife knowing what you do on the internet?

You can use a printer with two computers at once if the printer is connected to one computer and printer sharing is turned on. However, this only works if that computer is on. The second method is to use a USB switch, however that is extra equipment in my opnion. I think the easiest and cleanest way to set this up is to buy a router with print server support. As for your connection problems, I don't see how its possible that you can't visit those websites while you can visit others. It just doesnt make sense.
