Information Technology is a great field that is constantly looking for professionals. With a career in technology, you can even branch off into consulting with companies such as oracle and sage. A degree in psychology is not as marketable. My friend graduated with a degree in psychology since May and she is still unemployed. The best advice I could give you is to pick a career that you will enjoy working in for a while (job satisfaction sometimes outweights the economic gain).
