i need help trying to get internet on both of my computers by using a router.

my first computer VISTA has internet and and i want to use the router to give internet and share with my other computer with XP

the router is D-LINK DGL-4300

You need to connect the router to your dsl modem where it says WAN. But you still need to configure your d-link router with the username and password that was provided by your ISP (internet service provider)

well the router has 4 ports to use.you can run an Ethernet cord to your xp and go from there.or you can get a wireless card or usb adapter for you xp.as far as sharing with the vista i don't use it so look to Microsoft for that part. good luck
