How do i link computers 200 or more feet away so they can both use the DSL connection at the same time with the same quality
At the moment we have a DSL modem on each computer, but only 1 can work at a time.
How do i link computers 200 or more feet away so they can both use the DSL connection?hijack this
Reliably? Get an Ethernet router, a crossover cable, and two regular cables. Plug one end of the crossover cable into the DSL modem, and the other into the WAN port of the router. Plug the cables into the router and computers.

You need a DSL router to replace the DSL modems. One router with two (or more) Ethernet ports, an Ethernet network card in each computer. Then you can run a cable from each computer to the router and they'll have equal access to your internet connection! It's also more reliable and secure than WiFi.
you need a router... and what you do is connect the DSL modem to the router or buy a router with a built in DSL modem... then you can connect the computer either via ethernet cable or wireless.... ps you DO NOT need a cross-over cable to connect the modem to the router....
Idk I have wireless and what I do is on the bottom right corner I right click the little computer and go to
"View avaliabe wireless networks"
I can only tell you how to make two tin cans and a piece of clothesline into a phone..that's all I know..
