How can i conect two computers?

I have a dsl conection, and I jus got another computer. so i want to conect this computer to the internet in a different room.

so hon can i make this two computers share the internet?

If your DSL modem has a built in router, simply connect the 2 PCs to it.

If not, and it has a NETWORK (Rj45 / Cat5) socket, use that and connect it to a router, then connect the PCs to the router.

If it's a USB modem, ask DSL supplier if they reccomend a model of networked router/modem and get one (with wireless if you have wireless capabilities in the PCs) This request to the DSL Co is NOT because they won't all work, but if you need help, you need to know that THEY know the model

1.Use switch to connect from the DSL to another room then connect computer to the switch .

2.Configure the IP address ,Mac address

3.Test access to the Internet
the best one is use Internet Connection Sharing (ICS).

Activate ICS on your main pc (connected using adsl). then install 1 more ethernet card as second ethernet. then connect the second ethernet (using UTP Cable) to your second pc. if you`r using ICS then the default ip is 192.168.0.1.

Set ip on second pc to : 192.168.0.2
